There are a multitude of dining establishments ranging from fast food outlets to haute cuisine to theme dinners

Much of the dining venues depends on your particular preferences, budget and time.

We have only eaten in few establishments which tend to be seafood or Italian.  The venues listed below is not, by any means, definitive.  There are numerous web sites dedicated to dinners, shows and attractions in and around Kissimmee.  Use your favourite search engine to seek out information.  The establishment name has a hyperlink that will take you to their website for further information.

Red Lobster

There are 4 Red Lobster's within a relatively short driving distance We have eaten at 3 of them.

 4010 WEST VINE STREET KISSIMMEE FL 34741 (407) 846-3513
Voted Reader's Choice for Best Seafood by Florida Magazine, 2002.  Although this is the close to Mickey's tree House we have NOT visited this outlet.

5690 IRLO BRONSON MEMORIAL HWY KISSIMMEE FL 34746. (407) 396-6997.  Turn left at the Poinciana -192 traffic lights and drive about 1 mile.  We had such a bad experience at this outlet we were not charged for the meal and were given vouchers for another meal  which we did not use.

7780 W. IRLO BRONSON MEM. HWY KISSIMMEE FL 34747  (321) 677-0191.  A popular outlet, booking recommended.  We have eaten there a few times and good food, service and ambiance.  Turn left at the Poinciana -192 traffic lights and drive about 5 miles to the Taste of China area between Mile Markers 4 and 5.

12557 STATE ROAD 535 ORLANDO FL 32836 (407) 827-1045.  A bit of drive.  Take I-4 East towards Orlando.  Come off at Lake Buena Vista Drive turn left under highway and turn right at traffic lights into the Crossroads Plaza dining complex where there are numerous restaurants including Red Lobster.  Similar to the outlet near Taste of China.

Cracker Barrel Country Store & Restaurant

We found these outlets a little different and good quality.

7878 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Kissimmee FL 34747-1738 (407) 390-1190This is the one we tried on 192, just after Taste of China at Mile Marker 4

5400 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee FL 34746-4709, (407) 396-6521  The closest Cracker Barrel to Mickey's Tree House.  near to Old Town and the Red Lobster at 5690 Irlo Bronson.  We have NOT tried this outlet.

13300 S. Orange Blossom Trail ,Orlando FL 32837-6636, (407) 857-6124.  You may want to try this outlet if you are on the way to Florida Mall along Orange Blossom Trail.

Boston Garden in Celebration Celebration is a town-within-a-town, with its own hotel, shopping, dining, recreational and residential areas. Turn left at the Poinciana-192 intersection, proceed towards !-4.  Before I-$ turn left into Celebration.  The Commercial Area is bordering the Lake.  Try the Boston Garden.  The sandwiches are great and there is always plenty of cool beer to drink whilst watching the world go by.  Recommended. Popular, book a table for meals. 407-566-2526

Cafe d'Antonio This restaurant is also located in the Market Place in Celebration We have eaten in this fine Italian restaurant several times.  Booking is needed, especially on weekends and the holiday season.  407-566-2233

ChowThyme Try something different.  Gourmet meals at Mickey's Tree House.  We have not yet sampled the meals on offer and would love one of our guests to try this service and give us an independent assessment. Go to their website and see the large range of meals on offer.  They deliver meal orders on pre-arranged days but it may be worth picking up your orders directly from their offices in Celebration.  407-566-0516

Disney Character Dinners An absolute MUST for children of any age.  We have sampled the two main venues and both are good. To avoid disappointment pre-book your table well in advance otherwise it is un-likely that you will get in unless you wait at the front of the queue 1-2 hours before the restaurant opens!  Plan Ahead Tip:  If you plan your vacation activities ahead book a couple of months in advance then you will get a table for your party size on your preferred date.  The food is buffet style and very good quality and selection.  Chef Mickey at the Contemporary Resort or 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort.  Dining Booking Telephone Number is +1-407-939-3463

Theme Dinner/Shows There are numerous theme dinner/shows available for between $30-50 per head. Our favourites are the Medieval Times,  which next to Wal*Mart on Hwy 192.  Arabian Nights is a similar horse theme show and also good entertainment.  You will see the White Prancing Horse on the side of I-4 but you actually get to the venue from Hwy-192 at the turning to the Radisson Hotel.

Capone's Dinner and Show

Capone's combines dance, romance, comedy, and intrigue in a Broadway-style show. Enjoy a buffet dinner and unlimited beer, soda, and more.   Comment.  We visited this once.  It is OK but there are better shows in our opinion.

King Henry's Feast We haven't visited this theme dinner on International Drive.  We have had similar dinners in the UK.
From a banquet hall of a huge castle reminiscent of merry Ol' England, King Henry VIII invites guests to join in his royal birthday celebration while he seeks a seventh bride. Special royal entertainment features amazing specialty acts and an all-you-can-eat feast with beer, wine, and soft drinks. (407) 351-5151 or free phone in the USA -1-(800) 883-8181.

Pirates Dinner Adventure We visited this theme dinner a couple of years ago.  The children seemed to love it judging by audience participation.  Come off I-4 at Sand Lake Road Exit, turn right then left into International Drive.  Then turn right into Carrier Road
A swashbuckling dinner show featuring a 40,000 square foot theatre and a 300,000 gallon lagoon, Pirate's Dinner Adventure entertains crowds with live stunts and performances, thrills and adventures and engaging special effects. Cast members sing, entertain and invite audience participation. Follow International Drive to Carrier Drive. Casual dress and reservations recommended. +1-407-248-0590 or free phone in the USA 1.800.866.2469

Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show We haven't been to the Orlando version but have attended them in England and also thrown private dinners at our home.  I am not sure if it would be suitable for smaller children who may be bored as they like the action of Horses, Knights etc.  We intend to try it on our next visit. 407-363-1985, or free phone in the USA 1-800-393-1985.  It is around the corner to Pirates Adventure on Universal Blvd.
You solve the crime! Experience the world of mystery, intrigue and comedy while enjoying a delicious dinner with unlimited beer and soft drinks. Great for all ages.

Wild Bill's Wild West Dinner Extravaganza Not far from Mickey's Tree House and located at 5260 West US Highway 192
Wild Bill's Wild West Dinner Extravaganza takes place nightly in an authentic Western stockade and trading post. Wild Bill and Miss Kitty invite you to a comical and entertaining hoe-down featuring can-can girls, square dancing, and expert trick roper. Native American Indian dancers, and frontier marksmanship demonstrations -- all performed to vintage American tunes. Reservations requested. +1 407 351 5151
Hard Rock Cafe Call us sad old rockers but my wife an I like the Hard Rock Cafe's.  We have been to quite a few HRC's throughout the world.  Orlando's HRC is located at Universal Studios.  Try and book a table, if they will let you as the wait can be long on week ends and holiday periods.  Tip: If you come from the UK and book through Virgin Holidays for your flight and car keep the priority seating voucher.  It does speed up entry and give you $25 off the bill from selected food courses and excluding alcohol.  Plan Ahead Tip:  Go to HRC web site by clicking the link on the left.  Look for the PX button, click and fill your details.  it may help, I haven't tried it as it is a relatively new feature.
Orlando's Kingdom of Rock serves up high quality classic American cuisine (although it is owned by a British company and first opened in London) in an electrifying music memorabilia packed setting. Free parking. 407-351-7625

Planet Hollywood Located between Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island. In our opinion Planet Hollywood is a poor copy of Hard Rock Cafe but it is very popular all the same. Planet Hollywood brings the magic of Hollywood to the restaurant where diners can enjoy great food and a fabulous collection of entertainment memorabilia from the past and present. +1-407 827-7827

Aloha Polynesian Luau at Sea World Adults $42.95 plus tax; children (ages 3-9) $27.95 plus tax. Infants free but require reservations. Prices do not include gratuity. Park admission is not required and is separate from the price of the luau.  The setting is good, the food is good but, like Universal Studies and Disney Parks restaurants somewhat on the expensive side. While you enjoy a sumptuous, multi-course island feast, authentic, vividly costumed native dancers and musicians entertain you with a dazzling South Seas revue. Call 1-800-327-2420 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. (Eastern time) every day or book online
