Mickey's Tree House

Is it cheaper than a hotel?

There is no straight yes or no to this question, it depends on the size of the party, season and to which hotel tariff you are comparing.

Mickey's Tree House is a luxury villa with all amenities and its own private pool and spa that is open 24 hours a day!.  There is no barman to serve drinks, maids to make the beds or chef's to cook meals, except dear Mom, of course!  So Mickey thinks it is fair to compare his Tree House to a hotel like Sheraton Safari Lake  Buena Vista, Radisson Inn Worldgate or Holiday Inn Summer Bay Resort.   We have stayed in all three and they are nice, standard International quality hotels

Holiday Inn Summer Bay      2 room suite, max 5 people $143/night $1,002/week
Sheraton Safari Hotel Lake Buena Vista      pool view suite,  2 double beds, 1 dbl sofa bed $213/night $1,491/week
Radisson Inn Worldgate     oversized double room, with balcony $138/night $966/week
hotel rates quoted on hotel websites for July 12-19 2008

Holiday Inn 1,002 2,004 3,006 4,008
Sheraton 1491 2,982 3,473 5,964
Radisson   966 1,932 2,898 3,864

Mickey's limited mathematical skills tells him that even for a couple it is cheaper to stay in his villa than in any of the above hotels.  Yes, you could stay in cheaper hotels or motels.

If there are 4 or more adults in the villa 7 days of maid service would cost an additional $665, so it is still still less than the hotel rates and you don't even have to make the beds
